​2024 saw Will Jamson take on the Coaching role with Jasmin Dann and Manager Andrew Crawford to ensure the continuing growth of female football at the Club and in a very successful year the Squad won the Premiership was Runners-up in the Grand Final and earnt Promotion to FQPL1 in 2025. Additionally, the U23s were Grand Final Winners in 2024. Will and Jasmin continue to guide the Women in the 2025 Season.

The Club continues in the FQPL2 Competition under the Football Queensland competition systems.

Our Coaching staff for 2025 Glen Volker, joining Scott Hawkins, and Blair Rainbow in guiding the First and Stephen Lindsay for the Under 23 squad.

Metro Leagues

Metro League competitions are an open age/senior competition administered by Football Queensland. The Metro League competition offers competitive football at a range of levels, and the opportunity to improve and develop.

​

GTFC works towards competing in both men's and women's Metro League competitions and have been consistently top performers.  

​

GTFC currently has teams nominated in two men's and two women's Metro League Divisions.

​​

Home games are played at Lanham Park and can be played on either Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday depending on Football scheduling, following a home and away format.  

​​

Training for men's and women's Metro League runs on Wednesday between 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

​​

Trials for Metro Leagues start in January.  

 

Note that women may start playing Metro League football in the calendar year of their 16th birthday.  Younger players may also be allowed to play if they receive parental approval and Football Queensland exemption.

Masters Football: Over 30s, 35s and 45s

Grange Thistle FC Men's Over 35s and 45s and Women's Over 30s 

 

In 2024, the Club ran 4 teams in the Masters Competitions.

In 2024 Grange Thistle ran with a Men's Over 45, two Over 35 and a Women's Over 30 team in the O35 Football Organization Competitions.

​​

Over 30's, 35’s and 45's Football is a competition for over 30, 35 and over 45 footballers and involving teams from the northern suburbs of Brisbane. The purpose of these competitions is to provide football players an opportunity to play local football, on a Friday night in a relaxed, social environment with mates.

​​

Registration is through the Football Queensland SQUADI system, while schedules currently use the Footsy App.

​

​This is great opportunity to have a run around and to support the club in a very social arena.  

​​
